Invicta 4847 Review By Sean
My Overall Rating:
The name of the watch Invicta is taken from the Latin, meaning “invincible”, or “immortal”. Whether this comparison is actually true or not is probably a question the can only be answered by the wearer of such a piece of jewelry. The Swiss company that manufactures this watch had been doing so for well over 150 years but fell short when the quartz movement was introduced back in the 70′s.
Through determination and hard work, however Invicta watches were once again seen on the wrists of many folks during the 1990′s. Now this watch is making a big “splash” on both the coast and the inland once more.
“When asking a couple of friends of mine what they thought I had paid for this, they both said $1k or more.”
The face of the Invicta 4847 resembles very much the face of a Roman sundial. The outer rim reads much like a stopwatch as it is marked with seconds beginning with 20 and stopping at 50. The interfacing is also marked with runic-type symbols, a series of jewels instead of numbers to indicate the given time.
There is also an illuminated spot for military time displayed on the right-hand side of the facing. The watch itself is made from a titanium alloy and comes silver and gold with a metal chinked band. The praises and compliments on the Invicta 4847 line seem to be a little unsettled.

Invicta 4847 Customer Review:
I’ve owned dozens of high grade watches in the past and am very happy with this purchase. It is very similar to the Rolex Submariner, a watch that would be 5 to 7 thousand more dollars depending on choice of dial etc. I like the exhibition back that allows you to see the automatic movement.
I was hoping that the links would have screws instead of pins, but again, 200 bucks isn’t going to get you EVERYTHING that the Rolex has.
I like the weight of the watch and also the style. I like that it has the diamonds, but that they aren’t too much and don’t draw too much attention to your wrist. The quality is very good and I’ve never seen this much watch for this cheap.
Pros:
- Obviously has fantastic looks
- Don’t need to charge the watch
- Screen won’t scratch
Cons:
- Date magnifier not strong enough
- Some complain the watch runs fast
Invicta 4847 Summary:
While most of the product’s customers appear to agree that the Invicta 4847 is of relatively good quality, they also feel as though they probably could have gotten the same quality in another watch brand for half the cost.
On the positive side, the watch is now available for only $200.00 (list price of about $800).
